Where My Interests Lie

With regards to learning, what did you gain from your course? Subjects/lectures you most enjoyed and why

I have gained context (for my career) and contacts in higher education. Subjects I most enjoyed include: The Professoriate, The American College Student, Financial Administration of Higher Education Institutions.

Please tell us how you felt about class sizes, teaching quality, diversity, student support

The quality of teaching is excellent! The content is relevant -- most course materials are journal research articles in addition to textbooks. The class sizes have been 10 - 30 for most classes, although two required classes have 60 students. Professors are very supportive of grad students and students work well in group projects.

What advice do you have for students who wish to study your course?

The MA is intense for students who complete the degree in one year; many students will take an additional summer (pre- or post-year) to complete the degree. Most students will have to take out loans to fund the degree.
